This Celestron Padded 40" Telescope Bag is the perfect storage and transportation solution for carrying your OTA, mount, and tripod safely and confidently to an observing site. This bag is a must-have convenient carry-and-safe-storage solution for all astronomers. The interior has three configurable Velcro EVA foam padded walls to hold the optical tube and other equipment firmly in place during transportation. The bottom panel is reinforced with a hard layer of PVC for extra protection from minor bumps and to provide a sturdy bottom. On the exterior, you’ll find hard rubber elements that provide extra strength and water resistance.

This Celestron Padded 40" Telescope Bag is constructed from 900 denier polyester for durability and weather resistance. Its walls are lined with 16 mm thick EPE foam to protect your telescope. Unzip the case and inside you’ll find a soft polyester interior lining with adjustable padded walls included to hold your optical tube firmly in place. The Celestron Padded 40" Telescope Bag has a hidden external zipper pocket to hold eyepieces and other accessories. It also includes a bonus 9" x 12" padded accessory bag to safely carry those items you do not wish to include inside the main compartment.

Transport your case one of two ways: via the pair of sewn-in handles or as an option, use a clip-in padded shoulder strap for hands-free carrying. This soft case can hold many different kinds of telescope OTAs, smaller mount heads, and smaller tripods. It has an overall interior length of 997 mm (that's 39.25") and outside length of 1016 mm (or 40"). And it has an empty weight of only 6 lb. How convenient this is!
